2019.10.25 UPDATE: Small Steps Forward

Hi Folks,

Well, this week went pretty good — for a change.  Come on and I’ll share the details with you.

ON THE BENCH

I finally managed to get past my builder’s block and get moving forward.  As of this moment (late Thursday night on the 24th), I have several items in a mold box waiting to be put under rubber.  Some of them are new and others are re-mastered pieces to update and improve products we have already released.  These first new items will be on the small but highly useful side, but they will be a start.

I also decided that, along with the other changes I am making, I will end any attempt to schedule new items.  From now on, I am going to take all the pressure off myself.  I’ll just release new stuff as it becomes available and trust in the Lord to handle the rest.

KARL VAN SWEDEN

I spoke to Karl this week.  He’s doing well, but he’s had his own battles with builder’s block. Still, he sounded hopeful and, if all goes well, he should start sending me the first of what promises to be a rush of new items for the end of this year.

IN THE SHOP

As of this moment, I have one open order in the shop.  I continue to clean and organize things, but that job is being hindered by the aircraft kits and accessories I am trying to sell off.  I plan to post a HUGE listing of some 2 — 300 items early next week.  Watch our Face Book page for an announcement about these listings.  If you are into 1/48 aircraft, especially WW I and WW II, I am pretty sure I’ll be listing something you’ll find interesting and affordable.

IN THE OFFICE

I have yet to force myself to sit down and add the new pages to the blog page.  However, I hope to rectify that before much longer.  I will be adding Dave Hobb’s personal page to the blog, as well as a new page where Dave and I will offer some observations about building more realistic armor models.  As you may or may not know, Dave served on armored vehicles in the U.S. Army, and I was an M60A1/M1 mechanic and M88A1 TC in the USMC.  We know just a bit about the subject and thought we might share the occasional observation with whoever is interested.

THAT IS ALL

Well, that is all I have this week.  Short, sweet and ‘professional’ (sort of).  So, until next week, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin)

  1. Joe, keep going! I have to remind myself to put one foot forward every day and to eat something so I can build something to forget you know what. I depend on you, brother! I can’t build what isn’t there!
